hello world

the beginning

hello world! this is my first post of all time

my codex weekly usage got cooked this week, so im taking time to introduce this section of my dev portfolio

since software engineering has shifted to prompting and agentic development, the pace of development is way too fast for a junior like me to actually learn. the dopamine and instant gratification from just prompting for my own personal projects is also unsustainable.

consequently, the lack of coding and my current approach to development is not stimulating my brain enough to keep me focused and enticed. all of the "learning" I've done feels very shallow.

how do we fight against this?

my approach

i think the first step is to slow down

to slow down, a couple of things I plan on doing are

  • writing
  • reading
  • reflecting
  • digesting information then regurgitating but in my own words

naturally, doing all of these things will let me take control back and learn

tldr: writing to reflect to slow down to learn

hopefully my writing gets better overtime and I will also write about random things to clear out my though process as well

to end off this post, I really enjoyed this youtube video and it sparked this post so here
